BRYNN

1. really enjoyed Halloween.  chloe took her out trick or treating.
2. got to go see a marionette play with mom, sound of music, at BYU.  she sat through the entire thing, asking "is it over after this song? when will this song be over?"  
3. learned how to write an uppercase N, with all straight lines and points, no curves!
4. love playing with Kid Sister and My Buddy from Grandma T's house.
5. picked sausage pizza, you love sausage, for our dinner tonight.

CHLOE

1. was so excited to hang out with Ethan J for Halloween.
2. loved going to the donut house even though you had to wait for 45 mins.
3. has really been social lately and told all of the activity day girls about your boyfriend, Topher, you guys like to talk MineCraft and such...
4. you gave a talk in church on Sunday about your body being a temple.  Dad found a story online and it was great.  
5. working on a duet to play for the piano recital next week.  you didn't want to hurt mom's feelings by asking someone else to play with you, but really, it's ok... Kristi is a much better duet partner than mom!

JOSIE

1. started up Futsal.  you love it and have so much fun! you scored 2 goals your first game.
2. getting ready to play in a piano quartet for festival.
3. was sick at the end of last week with a random stomach bug.  now playing catch up on school work.
4. had a great time on Halloween, despite said sickness, and hung out with friends.  gave all your candy away because you didn't have the appetite for it.
5. you have a new boyfriend, well a new old boyfriend, back to Seth.  boys are bad.

 

Mom started a new job, still at CB but now in the Mortgage Loan dept.
Dad is trucking away working hard for us.  Trying to find his place, because he does far more for them than they deserve...

starting trying something new.  10 things lists.  10 things on each of us about who why what when where how things are.  fun.

BRYNN

1. love to play pretend like it's show and tell at school
2. has started calling me "bully" when i discipline... 
3. has lots of friends in the neighborhood but can't seem to play along with all of them at once, you seem to be a one friend kind of a gal.  sophie seems to be your best friend
4. love string cheese
5. have another fever blister, you tend to get them when you're stressed and then a few days later come down with some type of sickness... we'll see what happens in the next few days
6. planning on being Jessie for Halloween but come up with a new idea every day
7. have been falling asleep on your own for the first time in your life
8. very good at math
9. love the ipad and right now you watch The Munsters with Chloe
10. enjoy having baths everyday. it's your calming time

JOSIE

1. soccer is your life, about to start futsal and club tryouts are tomorrow
2. boys are key, you have a boyfriend named Jacob
3. friends are crucial, you have a big group you hang out with and lots of other friends that keep you busy
4. you play the violin and had a concert this week. you say you don't like it but you do very well
5. you are working on a quartet for piano and will perform in a few weeks
6. you shaved your legs today after letting it go for a few weeks and cut yourself really bad
7. you got new soccer shoes and are wearing a kids size 4.5
8. you're obsessed with your phone but don't like the rules that go along with it
9. you're mom's big helper bc you tend for her (while plugged into the phone)
10. you finished the 1st term of 9th grade with nearly all Bs.  that's great! 

CHLOE

1. skateboarding is like heaven, you're even planning on being a skateboarder for Halloween
2. you're totally into this game called Minecraft on your iPod.
3. the minecraft may or may not be the way you got a new boyfriend, Topher
4. you are the funniest kid around!  you crack mom up way too often
5. you're turning into quite the young lady... 6th grade is treating you well ;)
6. you eat chicken nuggets at school almost every day, unless it's taco or pizza
7. you have a lot of friends at school and church but choose to stay home and veg
8. andrew, your cousin, is probably the person you hang out with the most
9. you don't really like to help too much around the house unless there's something BIG in it for you
10. you still go to bed when you're supposed to and get to sleep pretty quickly

2013

New Year's Eve was great!  

 We have had a great Christmas Break and it was a great way to end it!  I had to work but it was nice to come home to have the family all there waiting.  We had Papa Murphy's pizza and then Sara & Eldon invited us over for a night of games.  We played Gift Trap, which is a Christmas Eve game we got a few years back and haven't played for quite a while.  Jeremy was there with us and it really was just fun.  We intended to have the kids play together while the grown-ups played games, but half of the kids ended up on our laps.  After our big kid game time, Sara & I headed downstairs for some Just Dance 4 fun.  It was such a blast!  Tessa, Max, Julia, Chloe, Josie, Sara & I made a bracket and everyone took a turn.  Josie ended up winning overall.  

We were ready to head home about 10:30 and then it was sit and wait for the clocks to turn.  The kids were all in bed before that actually happened, but we considered our celebration a success.  Jon & I ended up staying awake until after 2, weird, but it was nice to just chill.  The next morning, we sat around until we finally decided to head to Grandma & Grandpa Tuckett's to open gifts from the Hardy's.  It was fun to have Christmas last an entire week longer than expected.  We then headed to Home Depot with Chloe and picked out paint for her bedroom.  That's just another step in making this house really our home.  She picked LIME green... has to be better than the putrid sunshine yellow we've got in there now.  I'm excited to get working on Chloe's quilt I've been planning for a few years.  We got home, relaxed the rest of the night, and headed to bed to get ready for reality.  School started the next morning and it was back into the normal schedule.  We're looking forward to getting back into the routine.  Soccer, piano, and now guitar lessons.  Woohoo.
