VOTE!!!

Please VOTE! Everyone has the right, use it!
I went yesterday, just because I seriously wasn't sure if there'd be enough time for me to get it done on Tuesday. I waited just over an hour. It was an awesome experience! It was crazy actually getting to the question of PRESIDENT! It was a strangely spiritiual experience. Not that He really wants me to vote specifically, but I have been torn over certain parts. I read somewhere, that it's sad how we're having to choose "the lesser of two evils". How true that seems. So it came down to who I honestly would help with the future for my children. We'll see how it turns out. I'm scared either way.
BUT, you can never complain if you don't take part!!!!
VOTE!!!!!
(early voting is open from 3-5 today, check out www.leaveyourprint.com to get places to vote!)

Punkin Carvin'

We started out with SEVERAL pumpkins. The kids have each brought a few home here and there and we also went to our neighborhood pumpkinland and they gave us all they had left for FREE! Tends to happen when you go the last minute!
Somehow CJ's face pic got deleted.... And if I repost, it'll get all messed up...
This is the FRONT of CJ's. She poked little holes with her carving knife and then made designs around the edges, which is kindof hard to see. ALL ON HER OWN!

This is the FRONT of JD's. Again, all on her own. I remember when I had to do everything and why I partially dreaded this occasion, even though I've always been glad we did it. This year, my 2 big girls just went at it! Cleaning and ALL!!!!
JD LOVES her initials, just like me! She also used cookie cutters to stencil a pumpkin and a bat! She did such an amazing job!

While the girls carved, I...............
Made pasta, made PB&J sandwiches, about 7, helped with carving, made banana bread muffins, helped with felt crafts, and of course......

SANG to them. The love that part of our "kitchen time".
This is the girlies doing crafts. We had some special visitors so we kept them well entertained.

Our special friends got 2 new baby brothers a few days ago. I made them these pumpkins and got them some costumes!!! How cute!
New idea for Pumpkins.... FELT! No rottenness, no mess, but unfortunately, they don't glow up! But I am totally in love with this idea!
It was a fabulous but crazy night!
I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!!!
Hope you all have a safe one!!!

He's Mine, He Said So....

Fun. I had fun. I enjoyed the show. I enjoyed my company. I enjoyed HIM!!!
I enjoyed EVERYTHING!
There is honestly something about him. Jen calls him "Wonky". Pretty good, pretty good. I just think he's a nerd, but quite an intriguing nerd. I could just watch him sing, ALL NIGHT LONG! It was truly an amazing show. He was so much fun! Very entertaining and VERY GOOD LIVE! WAY better than recordings....
I WILL go again.
Oh, good times!
I could have danced all night!

Updates on NieNie

I've been following this story since it began. And I thought I'd mention this wonderful family again. They're still needing lots of donations to help with medical costs. Please be sure to check out their blogs to see what miraculous things have been going on for them. You HAVE to read this article. It was AMAZING! Christian is out of the hospital and in a care center going through rehab. Stephanie has just woken up over the weekend from her chemical induced coma. This truly is an amazing story. Please take a minute. Reflect. Love.

Mraz...tonight, not again

hopefully again, someday... did anyone else notice my ticker was wrong? oh i'm so embarrassed... anywho, can't wait for tonight. it's going to be such a blast! i LOVE going to concerts. Paco thinks they're scary, and I admit, i've seen some pretty scary things. but i'm a good girl, i am. i'd never get all caught up in that... i just want to SEE and HEAR all that goodness that makes me happy every day when i turn on the itunes... aaaah...

JD's in 4th! CJ's in 1st!

Man, how time flies!!! My babies aren't babies anymore! What do you guys think of these awkward poses and backdrops? hmm, maybe we just picked the wrong kinds... whatever happened to just being classic... geesh, like I don't have enough to stress about!

Fun times! We had a Halloweeny Party with the CB gals, Robeen, LinsLu, Tiffo and Me. We try try try so hard to get together more often and it finally happened! Thanks to R & T for preparing and hosting!!! For tonight's festivities, we threw together some fabulous costumes... JD was Hannah Montana, CJ was a prisoner (shackles and all), Little B was nothing, other than I found a super cute Hippo Jammie set that Unc Cotts gave her and she looked so stinkin' cute but wouldn't leave the hat on. I threw together a last minute costume and LOVED IT! About $5.00 later... MIME! Awesome! It was a lot of fun to finally have us all together! Party On! Til next year, AT MY HOUSE!!!

Pictorials......

Crochet anyone! or Croquet, whichever you prefer..... I'm a loon!
After forcing B to wear shoes at the pumpkin patch, I attempted again the second day and she did so awesome! I think we've finally convinced her, shoes are our friend!
CJ lost the other tooth! She's so stinkin' cute!
Here's a sneak peak for JD. Any guesses? For those I haven't spilled the beans...
This is at the Vineyward PumkinLand. No pumpkins here either.

Isn't my mum cute???

My BFF!!! and her kids...
Do we look like we're having fun?

So this is us at Red Barn. I put shoes on Little B, which she hates like death. Then I just left her standing there cause I knew she wouldn't go anywhere. Mean Mommy.
We ended up getting mainly gourds here. They were so cute and we have a hot spot for pumpkins. 879 E Center!!!! (plug)

Fall Break

The week has been fun! Honestly! I truly don't even know where to begin!
SATURDAY - I started back to work, ASH gave be the run-down, 4 hours later, I think I knew which reports were which, that's about it! Paco and I actually went on a date, sortof. I'm trying to get Christmas shopping done early and wisely this year, so I convinced him we could go out. I actually called a babysitter, our niece. Okay, I don't know babysitting lingo, I did daycare for how long, but never an in-home babysitter. I seriously felt so stupid. Poor Riss! It was great, Riss survived! Sadly, no shopping was done!
SUNDAY - Another fun-filled churchy day! Mum came over to check on the Halloween costumes she's so graciously assisting with. They truly are brilliant! In-laws for supper, always a good time and so relaxing!
MONDAY - Sometimes it's sad that I can't remember less than a week ago, unless I have pics.... maybe I should do daily photo journaling....
TUESDAY - Finished up a Stampin' Up! party. That gal got tons of FREE LOOT!!! Wanna have a party???? Let's chat! I went to work. Late night. Got lots done! Really looking forward to figuring things out!!!
WEDNESADY - see Monday.....
Now onto Fall Break, things I can remember (thanks to the camera!)
THURSDAY - We visited the Red Barn in Santaquin. Lins & her kiddies came with us! They have a fun tractor pull that takes you through their farm and then you can pick your very own pumpkin right out of the patch! It's super fun! Then we had WONDERFUL ice cream. It was fun to hang with Lins. Thanks for coming along! We saw the Tuckett Clan there too! Went to work again. Figured out a whole new lot of things! WOOHOO!
FRIDAY - Hung out with Mum! Went to lunch, and went to PumkinLand at Vineyard Nursery. CJ was able to go there earlier this week with school. Then we did some finish-up shopping for the costumes and then just hung out at Gmas house all afternoon. CJ & JD played croquet. CJ wacked Little B on the head with the club. JD loved playing dress up! Wants me to post the pics on "the blog". She's totally loving this Halloween!
SATURDAY - Still to be determined.... cleaning? hmm. studying? hmm. sitting? yah!!!

Playing TAG, not my favorite game....

But, guess what? You're ALL IT!
OHS 1997! Woohoo!!!
1. Did you date someone from high school? I had a steady, not from my high school, Scott Pour A Glass of Milk... hee hee and I dated a few others here and then, I suppose you could call me a cheat... So Sorry! Guilt never leaves us sometimes!
2. What kind of car did you drive? My awesome Roz, '88 VW GTI Golf. Man, that car was the bomb! Someone once stopped me at a light and told me they had 2 just like it at home, I thought it was a compliment, boy was I stupid! But I LOVED THAT CAR!
3. What was the most embarrassing moment of high school for you? I tend to stay in the shadows. I did yell at my BFFs in the hallway, not sure if the whole world really heard, but still embarrassed to them for that whole insane incident... AGAIN, SO SORRY!
4. Were you a party animal? Party Hearty Rock & Roll, Drink a.... oh, we won't get into that! If you can call loads of popcorn, movies and TPing partying, count me in!
5. Were you considered a flirt? um, no, didn't really like to chat to anyone...
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Band Nerd, right here! Dropped out senior year because they FORCED marching band, lamos, but I will never regret my flouty years and banding peeps :)
7. Were you a nerd? nerd can be used so loosley... okay, fine, probably.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? the loner team
9. Did you ever get suspended/expelled? You know, you'd think with such a great attendance and attitude record, I'd had better grades and actually done something with my life...
10. Can you still sing the fight song? played in on the flute in band, don't remember a single word.
11. Who were your favorite teachers? Spence - Debate, I so did not debate, he must have really liked me cause I totally sucked at that class, but he gave me lots of credit for being interested in history and just being obnoxious. Val Shaw - Math, I was a Math geek, but sadly, never got past Algebra, how pathetic is that! Maybe I really was a nerd...but not the smarty kind...
12. Where did you sit during lunch? before we could drive, we had our sweet table where we'd eat Chick-Fil-A. Afterwards, we'd cram into Roz the Golf and head to "BurritoLand"! yes, 6 of us fit in my 2door hatchback!
13. School mascot? Tigers Rar
14. Did you go to Homecoming? With whom? you know, I don't think I ever went to Homecoming...oh, sad...
15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? parts YES, parts NO
16. What do you remember most about graduation? Some poor girl had her name called right as the Jazz won the playoff game, the Marriott Center went crazy because everyone had their handhelds... So sad for her. I remember Superintendant Baugh, yes Andrew's dad, tell me I was popular because people were cheering for me, wonder how many times he had said that.... haa haa haa, oh that's really funny!
17. Where did you go for Senior Skip Day? Up the canyon with Megan to roller blade and dump big logs in the river! Aaaah, those were some good times!
18. Were you in any clubs? just my cool club....
19. Have you gained some weight since then? just a titch....
20. Who was your prom date? Andrew Baugh. Weird that we both had steady chums.... we went to a few dances together.
21. Reunions: been to any? All my girlies got together last summer for our 10 year. It was just fun being with them, geesh, forget everyone else! We ended up leaving early and going to Sconecutter!
22. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself? Oh, so many spiritual things, and for goodness sake, BE NICE! you're not as cool as you think.

Whew, that opens a huge can for me..... more sleepless nights! Oh, please forgive me my faults!

Paco is perfecting Smoothie making. He's pretty dang good!

October 10, 2008

Fabulous Friday!

Is it so fabulous? Yes! Let me tell you all the wonderful things I have to look forward to.......
Halloween! My mum has come up with the cutest costume idea for my kiddies! No, I'm not spoiling it, but they'll be the only ones of these, maybe ever, who knows! Can't decide how Little B will fit in yet..... or myself...... hmm, more thinking to do........ And I have a challenge for YOU! Try giving cheap toys for treats, who needs sweets anyway! PartyLand has some cheap trinkets!
Stampin' Up! I'm still an SU! demonstrator. I was on the death bed, barely breathing, but was saved by some very awesome friends & family! They like to get together and make cards just as much as I do, I just never force them to buy anything, and it nearly ended my SU! career! Thanks so much to you who helped bring me back to life! I love making cards and stamping. I can't wait to get my toosh in gear to do more parties! I had a demonstrator night on Weds and it was nice to just have people make stuff! And the hostess will be getting lots of FREE stuff! Me too! Everybody wins! Woohoo!
Family Family! Big E, I miss you! Please come back! I need my link!!!!!!
Girlies!
CJ has just lost one of her front teeth and the other is totally loose, so I'm imagining a truly "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" holiday! She looks so stinkin' cute! I'll post some pics at a later date.
Little B is just so lovey lovey. She is so much fun now that she's walking around and she loves to hold your hand and just walk with you, wherever you're going. She thinks that the stairs will just magically take her down, can't figure out how to teach her to go down backwards... Don't worry, she hasn't fallen down them, yet!
JD is BOY CRAZY! Oooh, the stories she tells! "Guess what "Lenny" did today! He pushed me!" SQUEEEEEEEL!!! "He bumped my shoulder like this." "He almost hit me with his football!" More SQQUUUUUUEEEELLLLLLLING. Wow, was I really like that? I'm kindof thinking that this OLDER boy just might like her back, from the things she tells me he does to her, boys that age will not give a girl the time of day if they're not interested, right? I'm honestly a little concerned! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! So not ready for this! HELP!!!!!
All I can say is that I am very proud of my girlies. I've decided I'm the HELICOPTER mom, dangerous. I need to let go, they do a pretty good job of helping me relax, just a little bit. Whew, I'm not even close to being done with this whole mothering thing.... Truly, I think I'm in for it!
Paco & GT
Paco is doing awesome! Picking up lots of overtime to keep our heads afloat! He's such a great dad. He loves taking the girls on bike rides and takes B to the store with him whenever he goes. Right now, for instance. "She's always good at the store" he says... I'll let him continue to think that. He's just great!
I'm going back to work for a few hours a week, trying to pick up some extra for the holidays. Luckily CB has allowed me to help them out with a big messy lovely ugly fun (*%)#) balancing account that I worked on for years while there. I'm going to love this opportunity to get my nose back into it. People think I'm crazy for liking that account, and there honestly may be something wrong with me, but I'm benefiting and hopefully they're benefiting, they need someone crazy to do it! I'M THE WOMAN FOR THE JOB! I'm living day to day, wishing I could spend more time with my extended family. I've been feeling very disconnected, even though I know I'm not really. I miss the old days when we did everything together, almost everything. Cuzzins, I miss ya! Let's party like it's 1999... or earlier!
Whew, that's a doosy(sp)!!!
Have fun y'all!!!!

Hallelujah October!

DARK TIMES LIE AHEAD!
Woohoo! I LOVE OCTOBER! The crisp air, although it's quite wet today, and still changing leaves, and of course,
HALLOWEEN!
It was hard last year not to have something to dress up for, visiting the bank and having them with their awesome ideas just made me ill, so this year I'm dressing up anyway. I haven't decided what to be, but it's gonna happen.
Soccer is over, nothing going on this month. We may sign the chitlins up for basketball, we'll see. Then the chaos will ensue all over again...
Girls have field trips and quite a few days off this month. Another reason October is so wonderful! Less work, really, truly!
Aaah, just can't wait for this month to really get started.
I hope you all have a wonderful, glorious, happy OCTOBER!
I know I will!
