Christmas with the H-Fam

Gma B & Gpa Duffy gave us this awesome electronic piano. The kids just love it!
Gpa was the super winner with duplicate gifts this year.
Gma always spoils us so much!
I love being with the fam!

Christmas with the G-fam

Christmas is ALWAYS great with the G-fam. Gma's tree is always so beautiful. Gma got an awesome book that cuzzin Al made her. She said she'd been feeling so left out because everyone else had gotten one of his special books.
Gpa got a new suit, which he huffed and puffed about. He always makes us laugh!
Christmas is always so special with the G-fam. My Gparents have been so wonderful to me in my life and I cherish every single moment that I get to spend with them. I LOVE THEM!
AuntieW & fam were here from Minn. We were only missing S&N from Japan. Hopefully we can all be together soon. I LOVE MY FAMILY! THE G-FAM ROCKS!!!

Christmas with the T-fam

Christmas with the Ts was fantabulous as well!

B had her MardiGras beads on... an addiction
We re-enacted the story of the birth of Jesus. So super fun! I recommend this to ALL! Samuel the Lamanite, everyone enjoyed throwing stuff at Mx a little bit too much!
The wisemen presenting their gifts to Jesus.
CJ got an awesome creepy crawler bug maker and a cool new camera.
B got a cute little rider pony and a super cute dress.
JD got an chair for her dolls to sit in while she does their hair. She also got a cool Hannah Montana fashion design kit. SHE LOVES IT ALL!
I got an awesome new sweater, warm, cozy, perfect.
Paco got some really nice church clothes and an MP3 player.

It was so fun just to be with fam!

Christmas Morn 08

Santa was good to us this year.B got all sorts of things that she has no clue about, still a wee-bit too young.
JD thinks she wants glasses so Santa brought her some without lenses. And some for her doll, too.
CJ got a basketball and cool NBA wrist guards. She also tried on every single shirt we got her.
B got a rider buggy and she seems to be afraid of the music. She doesn't get to close.
JD also got an MP3 player. She hasn't put it down! Sleeping and all!
And of course, CJ got her annual carebear. Too bad Santa couldn't find Tenderheart!!!
Overall, VERY FABULOUS CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Eve 08

Christmas Eve we get a new game to play. The girls anxiously waited to open it.GiftTrap. VERY FUN!
CJ won the first round and then JD & CJ tied the second.
And then new PJs for the kiddies.
I know you can't see them but ain't this pic cute?

We had a hard time getting the kiddies to bed to allow Santa to come. But eventually, after 11, they finally crashed! We had fun just hanging out!

December 19, 2008

need a little christmas??

We finally got our little bit of Christmas, or at least what I consider to be Christmas!
We got some new shovels and we just had to try them out! JD jumped right on board and we even invited a friend over! CJ did not want to go in, she stuck to her little corner and cleaned it spic and span!
I don't mind shoveling, it's the getting all bundled up part that BUGS!
A little hot cocoa afterwards...
YUM!
I do love my cocomotion!
Hope the snows are treating you kindly!
(and here's the best shot you're gonna get of my hair for now. It's not as short as I originally had planned. That's a good thing. It's simply more manageable...)

This message brought to you by the LETTER T

We have this ledge down our stairwell, that is FINALLY painted and looking awesome... now looking BARE, completely BARE & boring. So I was trying to decide what cool looking stuff to collect dust there... My thought... Letter T. Got that? Letter T. I think I want to collect Letter Ts. Blocks, pics, whatever. My only thing, I don't know where to get any... Of course I could go buy one of those blocks to cover with cool looking paper, and I probably will do that, but I'd also like to collect some vintage stuff. I've looked on ebay and they have LOADS of awesome stuff on there, but a little too pricey for a poor girl's whim project. So if any of you have any ideas where to pick up just a Letter T, or happen to spot one on your out-and-abouts, SEND ME A LINE!

Can't wait to see where this project takes me!!!

whatcha think?

So, I'm a loon who tries to save money by making my girls' Christmas outfits each year, when actually, I buy pretty expensive fabric, and then buy a whole bunch of accessories to adorn them with... psh... anywho, this year my mum was kind enough to get JD & CJ some clothes from Matilda Jane's clothing. Whew, thank you for mum! So, I totally loved the dresses, but I just couldn't let myself get a dress that cost that much, that B would only wear for a short time. So I decided I would attempt to create my own. It's definitely NOT matilda jane, but it's my own junk-food version. I'm pretty impressed! And she looks so stinkin' cute in it and she loves it! She ran away and wouldn't let me take it off of her. But I wasn't quite finished with the hemming, so I had to catch her. I made the skirt for CJ out of Linen and JD's is a cute brown peasant dress, brown, same color as CJ's BOY SHIRT! JD has some cute legwarmers and red leggings. Should be fun!
When I get the girls all dolled up, I'll post pics! And if you're lucky enough to be on my Christmas Card list, you'll get an actual photo, WOW for you!

3rd time's a charm, eh???

I've tried to upload these pics on several different occasions, and have been distracted, or the internet has pooped, and so on, so finally, here's a few weeks of fun...

Ma's bday. I won't tell you how young she is, but she's not quite half a century! We went to a new Indian rest and then went to see Bond, sortof a family tradition, they always come out around ma's bday. LOVED spending time with ma and the fam.

JD play. It was so fun to see her do her best. she carried those fake ties like a pro! and her red hat looked awesome, simply resting atop her thick ponies. and she sang the whole time. it was pretty darn neat. she did great!

Thanksgiving.

pre thanksgiving day - L, S & I made gingerbread houses out of graham crackers for the after-thanksgiving dinner-project. it was fun just to hang out with the gals. ever burnt sugar for glue? super fun! watch your fingers! we made 20-something. and went through 5 or 6 boxes of grahams, there were mostly broken. very rewarding project. I also made little turkey name tags for all 27 people that were to be attending. I gave up on actually putting names on them, but were just so cute by themselves. i'm a freak, you know! got the house very tidy and neat, well, hid things in all sorts of places to make it look that way anyway. FUN

the day - had the fam all over. it wasn't as stressful as i had originally thought it would be. ate, helped kids with castles, enjoyed watching the ping pong tourney. everyone enjoyed that, it seemed. that even made us nearly forget about PIE, can you believe it??? good times good times! seriously considering doing that again...

Joelissa came for the holiday. i love it when they come. the kids just play and we can just visit and relax. aaah. nice...

B's finally learned to go down the stairs, she still doesn't go down on her belly, she goes forward, so I'm still super paranoid. but atleast she's doing it! she's also gotten 2 new molars. that's fun. she can say "co" for cozy. and loves panda bears. (no, i haven't really brainwashed her or anything, really) hmm.

things are going for us. crazy times ahead. pressing forward.
