Yeah, I realize it's been over a week since I've posted. So much has been going on that I will definitely make up for it... Patience my dearies, patience! (since I know you're all dying to read my blog every single day, like I am all of yours, truly!)

Floral Family Night

The Book

So, my cousin Alec took a book binding class at BYU and has since made some INCREDIBLE books. I asked him if he could make one for CJ. She's always writing stories and LOVES to draw pictures. One day while we were reading Dr. Suess, she said "He draws so cool, I want to draw like him." So I thought I'd ask Alec if he could come up with something for her. He blew me away with what he came up with. This book is truly amazing, so much more than I would have expected. It's PERFECT! She slept with it that night and has been drawing some pretty neat things... It's such a wonderful gift that I really appreciate and I know she loves it and will be very glad she has it. It's definitely something to be proud of.... THANKS ALEC!

Bday Recap

Chloe's birthday was so much fun! She got 2 Transformers, a golf set, a cool bat & ball, dominoes, a kite, a cowboy hat, a cute summer outfit, a SKATEBOARD (dad finally gave in), a special care bear (couldn't NOT get one...) and an awesome book HANDMADE by cousin Alec. She had such a blast and loved having all of the family there. I can't believe she's 6! Hilarious as always! She had a hard time getting all of those candles blown out, but it was so much fun! Maybe a Princess party next year???

Dedicated to the silly one

bit by bit

Last fall it was the basement, and we're slowly doing the upstairs. We did the laminate wood in the entry, still haven't put up the baseboards, and got the 2 bedrooms carpeted yesterday. It is so nice! I HATED the berber that was in there... it was dirty and gross when we moved in and we have just neglected it cause we didn't like it, so finally, we're cozy. The living room will get done here in the next few weeks. Last stop, KITCHEN........ and of course finishing touches, which may take a few years....

Big Girl

So, the munchkin is getting bigger and bigger. I forget how fast new things come along when they're this old. She LOVED sitting in the swivel seat in the tub. I'm not sure why I've waited so long to put her in it... Ain't she cute?

JD is getting TOO OLD!

JD is getting OLD! Soon to be 9... so having turned 8, she's now invited to the Activity Days Day Camp. I have been lucky to go the past few years, and so I volunteered again so that I could be with her. I was one of her group leaders so I was able to watch and witness the whole time. She had so much fun! I think she was glad I was there, she is a bit shy... They made prayer rocks, marshmallow shooters, fruit pizza, and played Jeopardy. The did a little skit at the end, she did not shy away, got right up there, Awesome! She loved it! Can't wait til next year!

In all reality...

i type way faster than that... i didn't realize that you could keep taking the test over and over.... i did A LOT better after i'd practiced a few times... but we won't tell you what JON got...... hee hee hee.... LOL

Track & Field Anyone?

Little JD wants to be in and a part of EVERYTHING! No kidding.... She wants to do ALL the sports, you name it, she wants to try it. Which good for her! She is quite athletic and can pick up anything, really. One thing..... ENDURANCE. She poops out sometimes, because she just goes goes goes! I'm so proud of her and her willingness to try ANYTHING! She's my little GO-GETTER!

found her standing up in her crib, she can barely even stand, she just hangs there and holds on for dear life, she thinks she's so funny....ok, she really is.....
these little teethies are so stinkin' cute! i finally got this shot from another giggle shot....
she's crawling, combat crawling, in and out of everything, she's going to have the buffest arms in town, look out sisters!

JD's new DO

I cut JD's hair. It is so cute! I think she's looks so great with it short! She's always wanted long hair, but as she's gotten older, she's realizing that long hair is hard work! She was so excited that there were no snarls the next morning! Oh, she's a doll! She's getting so big! I'm not sure, but maybe her pre-adolescence will be the reason for my baldy-ness.... hmmm

honorable mention...

in all the excitement, i forgot to mention a few other fun tricks little BE has picked up...
she can clap, not just with the fist anymore! full-fledged clapping! she does it all the time!
she can also hold her bottle by herself, which makes feeding a bit more easy because she simply WILL NOT SIT STILL!
lo-and-behold.... another tooth today..... if any of you would like me to donate some of my hair, i'll be pulling it out, it'll be gone by the weekend.....
