thurs - july 30 - swimming in the by

so there were so many hilarious pics from this particular activity, but i couldn't help but share some of the best moments!

we got out a few of our little pools and the girls just had a go at it... this was a hit! and it proves that your yard doesn't need to be green, brown or any other color, it can be just plain old dirt...
we started out with a yummy snack... sodas, heath bars, and crackers...

cj is one of a kind....

man, i love this kid!

B decided that her baby needed to swim more than she did... she just chased it around the pool from one side to the other...

now TLu is a silly head and her and JD were getting a little too goofy...

these girls were cracking me up!

then they decided to start a one-sided water fight... CJ had to run for cover!

these girls were so much fun to hang out with!

after swimming, they put on a show for me.

july tidbits

because B's hair is just too stinkin' cute for me not to jot about...

Chloe found this stocking at the shoe store. I can't remember what she thought it was at the time, but she wore this as a serious beany... she was dead serious, until i told her what it was!!! it was hilarious!

We swam over at Sara's and Chloe & Julia were playing on the teeter totter... they are pretty much the same size so they were trying to balance the thing out! It was so fun to watch them go back and forth back and forth! They were having so much fun!

B & Emma were having a blast on the swings!

sat july 25th - carnival

the 24th brings Fiesta Days here in our town. I am a true carnie at heart... i remember Lynn taking Terri & I and letting us just go crazy! Those were great times! Paco isn't quite the fan, so I really just push and push until we finally just go. This year we brought TLu with us. It was such a blast!

TLu & JD had such a great time! They were being so silly!
CJ & B went on a few rides and B seriously had the "I think I'm gonna die but this is the best moment of my life" look. It was a crack-up!

TLu & JD went on the ferris wheel and Tess was so nervous. Jos kept rocking the carriage and it was freaking T out! That was so hilarious to watch!

Afterwards we went to the car show at the park. They had some cool cars.

Here is the car of my dreams! '65 Mustang.. it was great!

The girls got a kick out of some of the silly ones

CJ loves slug bugs. She thought this souped up one was pretty neat!

Then, of course, we had to stop at the Delorean... my only question is... where's the flux capacitor?

Ottis passed away last October and we've never given him a proper memorial. So we decided to make him a headstone (that sounds so morbid) we'll call it a monument, how about that!

Josie designed the pebbles and stones

Mom came up with the design and I toothpicked it in...

We decided to add a little ring thing so we could put one of his tags on it.

It turned out so awesome! It was kind of an emotional project, but such a blast to do it with mom!

fri - july 24th AM - pa-ade pa-ade

the 24th, of course! pa-ade pa-ade! no, that's not how brynn says it... she still can't say much... it's from a tv show josie used watch, Calliou?? anyone else miss that show? think it may be on noggin or something... anywho...

we live half a block from the parade route, so we just perched our chairs right in the road and hung out!we saw Tay on the student council float...
we saw TLu on her softball float... (she's not looking at us...)

for the 1st time, good ol' CB had a float! suits us well!!!

D&D came up to sit with us!

Brynn just cuddled with her cozy and ate grapes.
