WIR - June 19 - 27
Pretty uneventful week, I suppose. The kids and I have just been hanging out at home, cleaning up all the toys and organizing them, swimming, more swimming and such.
Saturday - we had a yard sale. It was fun, Jon and I made about $150. Better than nothing! And we got rid of a lot of stuff. There's still plenty of garbage to get rid of, but it's a start.
Sunday - We hung out at the Tuckett's and it was so much fun! We went outside and sat in the shade and watched the kids play in the sand box and on their new swing set. I love summer nights!
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - hung out at home. Got our our pool, which we've had since Jos was 3 and realized we really need a new one. It has holes, slow holes, and so it gradually flattens and makes for an interesting time. So the girls and I went and got some new ones. They're not quite the quality, or as large, but they're fun. They had fun just getting out of the house.
Thursday & Friday - Jon and I had went on our 10 yr anniv getaway. My Ma came and stayed with the girls overnight and we went to Logan, to the Anniversary Inn, where we stayed one night on our honeymoon. The girls had a lot of fun taking advantage of Gma, playing with makeup, swimming, making messes, etc... Jon and I had fun just being away from home. It would have been fun to have the girls, it wasn't them I was trying to get away from, just home itself...
Jon and I left at about 6:30, and we had a long way to go. We stopped in Brigham City and ate at a family restaurant called Maddox. I had the Salmon, EXCELLENT. Jon had a juicy steak, EXCELLENT. It was fun! We finally got to Anniv Inn at about 10:30. We played a few games of pool, there was a table in the room, and watched Oceans 12. Then we struggled to get comfy on the bed, we forgot Jon's special pillow, oh the tragedy, really it is. Jon didn't get to sleep until 4, and I woke up at 6 and then slept on the couch. Yeah, it was fun, that part, not so fun! We drove around the Logan Temple, BEAUTIFUL! and then drove by where my Gpa Gardner used to live. His family built 2 homes just across from USU campus. It's a little sad to see it run down currently, but still fun to atleast see a part of history. I was able to call him and ask him for the right address and he sounded so happy telling me about it. We then drove to Park City to do a bit of shopping. Not too much, still didn't have school clothes variety out yet. We then came home and loved our kiddies. We went to dinner at Hickory Kist and then got Milk Shakes at Little Acorn. It was good to be home and be together as a family. I LOVE MY FAMILY! Jon and I had a great time being together. So many times I hear people say they need to reconnect with their spouse, but Jon and I seem to still be connected... 10 years is a long time, but I don't feel any different about him, love him more! He's great and I'm so happy to have him! and lucky!
Hope you're all having a fabulous summer!

Week in Review
i figure this is the easiest way to post.......
It's been a fun week...
Wednesday - Carpet. we finally finished our last carpeted room. the living room, which was the worst of them all. our house was a mess, trying to fit all the big furniture in other rooms and the poor piano, it's a beast. but it looks great now!
Thursday - JD's Bday #9. We had a fun day, i suppose, we just hung out and played with Jules. they did craft projects while i tried to clean for the party. we normally go swimming but it wasn't quite warm enough for that. the fam all came over and we had cake, ice cream and opened presents. we love being together as a family! Jos got some American Girl doll clothes, a big bulletin board to pin her fashion designs on, earrings, since she just got hers pierced, and a metranome for her beautiful piano playing (she's been using an old one of mine that's not quite on beat) She had a good day, she said. I hope she enjoys being 9.
Thursday - Our Anniv #10. Jon brought me a dozen beautiful roses. ain't he sweet? we'll be going to Logan next week for a little outing. can't wait!
Friday - Grotto Hike. This was the first time I've ever been. The sis-in-laws go all the time and are always so awesome to take my kids with them. it was very wet. i loved it! it was traumatic for most of the kiddies who slid down the muddy mountains and couldn't handle the bone chilling cold water, but i loved it! i can't wait to go again! Betsy was so well behaved in the snuggly, i was shocked. it made the trip all the better. afterward, we stopped at a picnic area and had lunch. there were baby caterpillars everywhere. everytime you turned around there was another one trying to eat your lunch. CJ loved it and gathered as many as she could in a paper towel and tried to save them, because they needed some place to go... loves bugs, that one! it was really an awesome day.
Friday Afternoon - Swimming at Sara's. after the hike we went to sara's and swam in the alligator pool and the slip and slide. the kids had fun just hanging out. brynn loved the water and crawled right onto the slip and slide and played. it was cute. it was fun to relax!
Saturday - Scottish Festival. Every year we try to make it to the Scottish Festival at Thanksgiving Point. My mom helps out in a booth so we go to visit her as well. this year we took Tessa, Max & Julia with us. I hope they had a lot of fun, they said they did but everyone was so tired it was hard to see that enthusiasm. the kids got to go on the blow up thing for FREE and then they got to put on some helmets, shields and a sword and fight a night. they liked that. we also got to see some irish dancers. we missed the animals, but it was fun to listen to the bagpipes and see all the costumes. Payson's Scottish Festival is in July when we're in Bear Lake so I'm a bit sad, but, there's always next year!
Sunday - Father's Day. Jon had a meeting first thing, but the girls made him cards and we gave him his gifts as soon as he got home. then to church and then we went to visit Gpa Duffy. It was fun to see him relax, even if only for a minute. We had dinner with the Tucketts. Kabobs! Yum! the meat was excellent but my favorite part was the pineapple! Thanks Dorothy! then the sis-in-laws came to visit too and we all visited. Fun!
Monday - swimming at SF pool. Lins Lu came and Sara brought Andrew, Julia, Tessa and Max. it was fun to have so many friends! josie loves swimming and had tons of fun! it was Betsy's first time and she LOVED it! I wish that i had pics of her in the pool. she couldn't get enough and just wanted to crawl right into it. chloe had fun playing with little Max and was a little more daring this year getting into the deep... scary for mom. i tried to put sunscreen galore on myself, cause i have a really bad habit of not caring, but i missed some spots on my back and am suffering greatly! when will i learn?
Monday Night - Bike Ride with the fam. With the stimulus check from the Govt...we decided we could get Jon and I some bikes. He's always taking the kids on bike rides and now we can all go together. we bought a seat for brynn to put on the back of my bike. she's so teeny in it... we went down to the trail by the river/ball parks. we all had a great time!
Tuesday - Migraine of the century. I get headaches every now and then, but yesterday, oh boy, thought i just might lose it. thanks to brynn for being so good and the girls are always good at entertaining themselves when i ask them too. i was able to rest in the morning. then...
Tuesday - Projects with the Cuzzins. At the Scottish Festival, they had all sorts of cool gadgets to buy, but of course, quite a ripoff, so i decided we'd make our own gadgets. i bought some fake flowers and some duct tape and... voila.... princess headbands and cardboard swords. i think the kids had fun, and bummer, i didn't get any pics of them. i love projects!
Wednesday - rest and relax day. even though there is so much to do, i'm just taking it easy, no headache, nowhere really to be, just cleaning a bit and blogging... what could be better!
hope you liked my week in review! til next week!

Here's to my Beauty
It's so hard to believe she's 9, yes 9... She joined us on our 1 year anniversary, what a blessing! I don't know what my life would be like without her. Although we butt heads nearly ALL of the time, I get more choked up about her growing up than the other 2. She is so energetic and bounces back from mean girls at school, yes in 3rd grade. She is so helpful with Brynn, although it nearly drives me crazy that she's almost TOO helpful. I can't explain all my feelings for this little/big girl. I just hope I'm doing the best job I can, loving her with all I've got, and helping her to become a positive, confident young lady. She's somethin' special!
I LOVE HER TO DEATH! MY JOSIE D!

commentary for 10 years
It is so hard to believe that it's been 10 years! I have to admit, I didn't think we'd make it through the first. I am so in love with Jon so much more now than ever! We've been through a lot - 3 BEAUTIFUL GIRLS, a home, random surgeries for both of us, jobs, drama, you all know how life is. I'm proud of the way we've chosen to live our life together and I only hope for it to get so much better! I love my Jonny! HAPPY 10TH, BABE!

The Piercing
We finally did it! Josie has been wanting to get her ears pierced for so long! We decided that she could last year for her 8th birthday, but that never worked out, so this year for her birthday, we actually followed through! She was so nervous, and it took me about 15 mins to finally talk her into it, but she didn't even cry! I remember bawling like a baby and I was her age... that just shows she's so much more mature than I ever was... She chose the August Peridot for her gem because she really liked the color. She's looks so cute and grown up! WAHOO!!!

Another Plug
Hey, I know I've already given props to one photographer, whom I think is just FABULOUS! But you have to check out this website, too. Alec on 05/17/2008 is my handsome, hotty, available, cousin... The photo gal is Emily, whom I've never personally met, but I love how her photos are so ECLECTIC! She's hoping to get into Fashion Photo and I can totally see that in her pics. I hope you'll check it out...

to sum it all up
i really don't want to post 800 posts today, so I'm going to sum up what's been going on these past few weeks and then do a jumble slide show... seriously, i'm pooped!
1-Little CJ graduated from Kindygarten. It was so much fun, she actually sang the songs! That's a shocker! She was sad to say goodbye to her teacher but she was already asking when 1st grade started...I think she was a little bummed about summer break.......She did have a late night with Cousins Julia and Max. She's getting so grown up! Can I really let her go?
2-JD had her last day of school. They had some water games during the week and she was able to relax a little. She did so awesome on her end of term report card we are just ecstatic! She had a late night with Tessa Lu and had a great time meeting new friends! JD loves to meet new people!
3-Juan had surgery on his nose. We didn't really tell anyone cause he doesn't like people to FRET over him. He had a slight deviated septum and some scar tissue that they were able to go in and clean up. We're hoping this will help him to sleep better and allow his body to heal some from his 7 year old issues....He did really well afterward and I think he's sounding better in his sleep already! But yet, old habits are sometimes hard to break...GO TO BED BEFORE 1am, for crying out loud!
4-We went to This Is The Place State Park Friday after school got out. The kids had such a blast, we could have stayed for hours more! It was so neat to walk around and mingle with characters from the time. They had all sorts of activities in some of the homes there and a train and a playground with little miniature homes. So much fun! Can't wait to go back and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go check it out. You will be entertained for hours, even adults! We have an ancestral home there, the Rich's. Yes, he was nice enough to build a home where each of his wives had their own door, what a sweetie!
5-Can't leave Betsy out, she's finally started to crawl on her knees, no more combat crawl. She is a tempramental little stink and is constantly throwing fits! You'd think that I seriously gave into her all the time, but guess what, I don't! Dr. yesterday said she's doing just dandy, conflicting reports on the weight...15lbs7oz or 14lbs8oz...I'm going with 15 7.... still a skinny ninny, but he's not concerned so neither am I. I figure she just cries all those calories right off! She truly is a cutie and I love that she's sleeping all night, which some people I know are still trying to get their 1 year olds to sleep thru the night... so sad.... She likes to eat, play, get into trouble, go outside, claw my face off, pull my hair, which is always up so I'm not sure how she manages it, but yes, it makes me cry.
6-We went and played with my BFF Lins twice. Max's bday was Saturday, ARGH, pirates ahoy...It was so much fun and Chloe and Max just love each other. We had 4 moms with 4 babies that were born within 4 months of each other, it was so much fun to meet up! We also went over yesterday to swim in his new pool he got. So much fun! I love hanging out with Lins and the chickadees...
phew, I'm sure I could go on and on and on and on, but I'll pause for a moment here and let you take a potty break....
Thanks for checking out our FABULOUS life! Come back soon!
