Hello, Hello Again, UVU

He did it... he registered for UVU. The night before classes he tells me he's readmitted and is taking a class. YAHOO for Paco!!!! So I'm so thrilled with the idea that I don't even bother to ask which class he's taking, I'm just ecstatic! Then in conversation it comes up, he's taking Real Estate, yes, Real Estate, with a work buddy. It's just like high school all over again! But remember, I'M THRILLED AND 100% SUPPORTIVE! Really, truly, I am. And, to tell you the truth, I'M ULTIMATELY JEALOUS!!! I just hope that jealousy doesn't turn into bitterness... I WANNA GO, but my job doesn't pay for it!!!!
Paco, I'm so thrilled that you've taken this giant step! Be good! And obey your teacher!!!! (no feet on the chairs in front of you, naughty!!!)
LAYA!

I talk to plants. I have a bad history with the green things. You see, I killed every stinkin' one of my Gmas house plants while we lived there when they were on their mission. Yup, every single one. And she had plenty. Needless to say, I've been longing to redeem myself in some way for the cruelty I've inflicted. My yard, hasn't helped me with this need. We've replaced, a few times now, all the yard plants. Currently, we have none, other than the weeds, which they seem to really adore living here, so I must take excellent care of them.
This here is a gift I received when I "retired" from good ol' CB, from the Awesome American Fork office. That's been over a year ago! Congrats to me! I owe it all to talking to them! I have had to, uh, bring them back to life a few times. I think the talking has done it! Maybe the water has helped a bit.
Here's to speaking to all living things!

I promise my kids are NOT couch potatoes. I'm just a neglectful mom.

Sing us a song, you're the piano man (or woman)

I've just added the Donate to NieNie button on my side bar. Some of you may have heard about this story on the news...I actually found out by blurking, yes blurking, my addictions have been nothing but a blessing for me. Stephanie is a Clark from Provo. Their family is in my Gparents ward, go OH2!, where I tagged along from time to time. The Clark Pa, Steven, was the bishop when I was baptized there. I just remember thinking how wonderful their family was, and of course, I had a major crush on their son Jesse. Who wouldn't? Courtney was always so sweet, just 2 years older than I. Stephanie was just a 2 years younger. Their family is truly amazing! They all lived in a close radius and I also adored the brother Dave's family. Lisa was a young women's leader during my quarterly attendance. She was always so warm and welcoming. And I was also friends with her daughter Jayne. Then when we lived at my Gparents home the first year after marriage, it was so wonderful to have those warm hellos every week from them. I never felt out of place in OH2, as a child or as an adult, and I know it's because of these two great families, and so many others! Stephanie and her husband, Christian, were in a plane crash just over a week ago. They're both in serious condition with severe burns. They have 4 of the cutest kiddies I've ever seen! Little Gigs is Clark all the way! I couldn't just sit back and do nothing, even though I haven't seen any of them for a few years. So, I'm trying to spread the word and do my part. Their 4 kiddies are here staying with family while their sweet mom and dad rest up and try to get better. The road will be long for them. Luckily, they have the knowledge of our Savior. It's amazing how comforting that can be, even though it surely can't make things any easier for them. If you're interested in donating, click the button. If not, say a prayer for them, or two! You can check out family updates at Courtney's blog. She is so amazing about taking things serious, but also remembering to keep things real, and remember it's not over yet! She's amazing and I know that I appreciate her updates.
My soapbox is now over. I hope you and your families are all doing well! Love you all!

Cake Wrecks

So, I added a new listing on my blog peeps. Cake Wrecks is a site I've been introduced to and I laugh my patootie off nearly every time I check it. You need to be a bit open minded at times, but geesh, everyone needs a laugh to burn a few calories, relieve some stressage, and gosh darn, just to laugh. So check it out! Enjoy!

It's a long one...

Wednesday Wrap-Up 8/14-8/20

Once again, it's that time! What an exciting week for us!!! Who'd a thunk???
14th - Get back to me on this one... oh yes, having Generation pics with my Gma, Ma, me and the girls. Ran out to Ross to quickly find the girlies something to where. Black and White. Found the cutest stuff! Pics are going to turn out amazing! Amanda A is so great and can do amazing things! (check out a sneak peak here) Started Breaking Dawn. I've only gotten into this whole vampire thing at the beginning of the summer. I like to read things all at once (Harry Potter, 5 books in 13 days, that's good for a Not-Reader like me). Not so much into the whole love story, but more into how they're figuring things out, like LIFE. Even a vampire needs to learn a little something.
15th - The Great Mich's BDAY, unfortunately, I missed the big shin-dig for multiple reasons...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICH! Went to Fish Lake for a reunion of sorts. Had a wonderful time just relaxing, honestly. It was crazy how I seriously felt like "Whoa, I really don't have to be anywhere or doing something!" FABULOUS! Little B, however, was sicky and was hating life. I didn't feel she made our trip totally unbearable, though. The girls loved hanging out with the cousins, they even got to drive up with them. Juan and I enjoyed the car ride with just one sleeping baby. Good times, good times.
16th - TLu's Bday! Still up at Fish Lake we wished TLu a happy happy. The drive home was, again, fun with Paco. I really do enjoy his company. SHOCKING! Ma called while we were gone to inform me that Ottis, my lab, was on his death bed. Such a long story, that'll go on the computer journal, rather than the blog journal, just to save you the time and heartache. Ottis is like my BRO! Being an only child, he was it. He's been so spoiled, even got a kiddie pool, which I was never loved enough to have. Anywho, so as soon as we got settled after FishLake we went over and enjoyed dinner with Ma & Pa and the pups (Ottis is actually doing a lot better but we realize his days are limited.) I love hanging out with the fam. Paco helped Pa take down another tree that the wind knocked down, this is becoming an annual occurrance. Their back yard is looking so spectacular, they're hard work is definitely paying off.
17th - Wow, didn't have to prepare a primary lesson, oh it's been, nearly 9 years or so since that's happened, I was a little lost. Tried NOT to offend the RS president again today in RS. Didn't want to get evicted my 2nd week. Dinner with the in-laws and then off to TLu's bday bash. She's such a QT!
18th - Getting a little crazy about school starting in 2 days... took the girls to get a few clothing items. JD was complimented on her fashion style... hmm... CJ was all about the sport pants and sport shorts... hmm... Little B, well, she was just a perfect angel! JACK JOHNSON! Yep, I went to Jack with LinsLu and her hubby and we met up with Tiff & her sis, Katie. We've been to Jack before. He's great in concert! So much fun! I wish I had money and time to go to every single concert EVER! (MRAZ is in OCTOBER, I know you're all jealous!)
19th - Last day of summer. I suppose I could have done something super cool for the girls... hmm... I just wanted them HOME, with ME! Went to the school open house to meet their teachers. It was a lot of fun seeing them get all excited!
20th - First day of school. 4th & 1st grade? There's just seriously no way... where has all the time gone! They were so excited and were ready to go before I was, trying to push us out the door just a wee-bit too soon. I drove them and walked them to their classes, NO PICTURES, MOM! Do they really not know me at all??? The seemed to be sucked right in, I cried. Whao, this is only the beginning! Drove by and saw CJ out at recess! She waved but went right on playing...doesn't she love me anymore? Went to pick them up. I think they were happy to see me, but they were happy to go back again today, which I suppose I should be grateful for. Geesh... feeling a bit unloved. During my free-time with Little B, went to see my CB GalPal Robeen and her new bebe with LinsLu. #4 for her. What a QT this little boy was! She is such a trooper herself, up and at 'em, having had another c-section, this girl is a crazy nut! I admire her! Wow! Spent the evening running to soccer practice and finally, yes finally, finished Breaking Dawn. Whew, now what, what do I do, it's over, no more Bella and Edward...Jacob, Carlisle, Jasper(myfave, not sure why, I think I just picture him super awesome, scars and all!) maybe I'll finsih up where she left off and write up my own little ditty, just to keep my mind from losing the vampire insanity part of my brain...we'll see about that!
So, another week gone by, life is CRAZY!

GOOD TIMES HAD BY ALL!

Wednesday Wrap-up 8/7 - 8/13

Here we go, are you sick of hearing my every day life story? Seriously, this is my journal, so if you're not interested, buzz off.... and, of course, I mean that in the nicest way! :)*

7th - Pretty eventful...TLu had slept over and the girls were just playing so nicely, I hated for it to end! But, alas, more swimming... so swimming it was and then off to Robeen, CB GAL, baby shower (#4). It was good to see the old CB Gang, well, some of them, anyway... LinsLu was there so we decided to chill afterward and took the kiddies to a park where they ran around and blew off some steam for about an hour. B loved just walking around, even in those hurty woodchips. JD & CJ were such helpers with Lins' bebe and CJ LOVES to play with Max. It was such a great time just to hang out! After Juan got home, we took the kids to the school playground to play soccer. It was such a nice night and, again, Little B loved the playground. I love spending time at the park with the fam!
8th - More swimming, but this was the last day, so the kids got to off the diving board and down the slide. JD is a fish out of water and LOVES to be in the pool. She jumped off the board a few times and it was so great to see her confidence shoot up! You know, I still plug my nose while swimming! My kids are way better than me! CJ chickened out right at the last minute, to the edge of the board and beyond... and just sat at the bottom of the slide and watched the rest of her class. But again, I am so stinkin' proud of my little fishies! They've given it their best and that's all I can ask! We hung out and the girls made cards and such... oh, and can't forget mr. happy, and happy, and, well, can't remember the other's name... home made finger puppets... ain't she creative?
9th - Planning on going to Cuzzin E's. JD went to Gma T shopping and to Kit, the movie. CJ went with Dad to help sis Lisa fix some computer issues, I sat around with Betsy and cleaned, a bit, no, I didn't have a nap! So, when E called, finally got the kiddies rounded up and headed over to see the boys. It's been way too long! I miss seeing them all of the time! Got to give them birthday presents, since they're always out of town! It was great to hang out, even if it was for just a bit! Love ya, CUZ! Then went to Juan's auntie & uncle's 50 wedding anniv party. Fun to see family!
oh, and how could i forget this, geesh, so, juan is still so attached to Salem, we decided that if we didn't go to the salem fireworks, we would regret it, it was the most awesome experience! We get there around 9:30 and drive around and park and walk down the pond. We find a nice spot on the curb, yes it's pitch black, we can't really see what we're sitting on. it was super stormy and the lightning was just going crazy all around, we waited and waited but the kids were really good and patient, paco on the other hand, hmm, anyway, they finally start the fireworks and it starts to sprinkle a bit. then, COMPLETE DOWNPOUR! It was the funnest thing ever! I'm so glad I thought to grab the kids jackets and grabbed and extra blanket for B, which I used. Juan was just out of luck. It only lasted for a few minutes and then, on the grassy knoll behind us, the sprinklers turned on. It was just great! Oh, so much fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat! My kids were all loving it, even little B. FUN FUN FUN! Some family traditions are just good, no matter what!
oh, and hello, did anyone watch the olympics sat night? men's relay, "we're gonna smash the US" bull. that was so amazing, jon and i aren't really into that, but we just happened to be watching and both jumped completely out of our seats and started clapping, i'm suprised i didn't cry, and you probably are too, but really, i didn't! awesome! GO USA
10th - First Sunday in RS. I had to go in before and give all my CTR6 class hugs and remind them to be good, I just can't stay away! Fun to be with adults, offended the RS president, yeah, leave it to me! Had a wonderful time! Afterward hung out with the Ts. Just a wonderful day!
11th - Soccer camp, do I keep my kids too busy? 8:30 - 10 for JD 10:15 - 11:15 for CJ. Betsy was great for the whole thing. Sat at the playground. Kids did great! Can't wait til the games start! Just hung out for the rest of the day. At night, went to CB GAL Katelyn's bridal shower! I am so going to miss her! (she's moving to Hawaii) It was so great to see her! and my kiddies just ADORE her!
12th - More soccer camp. More lounging about the house. JD had a friend come over and they played for the entire afternoon! I loved no TV! great day!
13th - No prior obligations. wowsers, that feels, well, lazy. Should have gotten alot done, but, uh, didn't. Girls have been such great helpers today! We set up the pools and then had a few friends over. Just a great, relaxing day!

My favorite little thing of her, she can do thumbs up with her toe. Ain't that cute?

She loves being where the girls are, swimming, playing on the playground, wherever.

Little B has started walking. She can only take 2 or 3 at a time, but she's on her way! WOW! Where has the time gone!
