the past

I've been burdened with my past recently, not anymore, though...

And here's something that helps sum it all up!

"Don't worry about the people in your past:
There's a reason they didn't make it to your future!"
And so it is...
Here's to my future and all you fabulousicious people who are a part of it!

Are you missing me?

All, hmm, maybe, 1 of you who read my blog? Oh, how I've missed you too!
B has magically began to speak... go figure that I had the appointment with KidsWhoCount and she decides that maybe she'd really like to be a big kid... we'll see how her actual evaluation goes...
B has been a GEM this week! It has been night and day and I just can't get heads or tails of it! She was sick and unbearable and then she comes out of this illness with an entirely new personality! She talks, she hasn't cried in the car once since Friday, no lie!
It's a miracle! {knock on wood}
It's been a frustrating time for me not knowing when she was going to have a meltdown and how I would handle it, but things seem to be getting on track, finally, whew, it only took 18 months...
CJ is fun as fun can be. She says the craziest things sometimes! I always write stuff down because she's so off the wall! Yesterday it was...
CJ- "Is Happy April Pranks Day on the 23rd?"
Mum- "um, April Fools Day is on the 1st."
CJ- "Yes! So in 9 days?"
I'm afraid of what she may be planning...... it's a wonder with her!
JD has had a fun weekend! Cuzzin TLu stayed with us and they really enjoyed each other's company. It was also nice for me to just relax and not have to worry about entertaining her... I still cannot believe that she's going to be 10 in June... 10, yes 10... can you say pre-teen??? although I think we've already hit that mark...
She's growing up so fast and I wonder how to rewind and take more time with her... where has all that time gone?
Paco and I are headed to NC in April. I am so anxious! I've never flown with my family before... I wonder how we'll all do together? CJ's afraid of heights...(she gets the isle) B is, well, B...any hints for entertaining an 18 month old? JD will be bored out of her mind! MP3 player and lots of batteries!!!
For me? Valium, baby! or maybe that should be for Juan...

In a Nutshell... days gone by...

Where to begin...
although it seems as though we do absolutely nothing around here, there always seems to be something going on. how is that?
i'm not sure the order in which i am about to post things... ENJOY
This is B. She has been terrified of "Little Leap" until she realized it sang the coolest song ever! Then it took her a few days to actually touch it. Here she is singing her darndest.

Then there are these two... They amaze me more and more, it seems. I am so gosh darn proud of them I could scream. And sometimes I do.

And they get embarrassed. hmph.

JD is in her 4th year now. She just finished up with Festival, where they get judged. She earned a Superior, which is the greatest score. It's so great to see her be proud of herself. She enjoys playing and has taught herself how to play Fur Elise along with other things.

CJ is in her first year. I was a little nervous at first at how she'd do, but she is kicking trash! She even asked to play 2 songs at the recital, when everyone else only did 1. She's on her way to greatness, I tell ya!
It snowed again this week. This was the first time we actually got snow clothes out for B. She was as grumpy as all get out that day, but she loved being out, even if it was only for an entire 2 minutes. She was ticked when I took off the snow clothes. She has since been walking around in her snow boots. If only we'd realized she loved it this month during the winter... The girls LOVE to be out in the snow, making forts, jumping off our wall, destroying stuff. They dig it. And I'm glad.
And B likes Ketchup. "tee" (cheese)

And in an effort to try to get rid of these...(yes, my 18 month old still has a bottle)

We have tried ALL of these... with no success... she loves to spill them, in the car, on the table, on the floor, no drinking ever happens. she loves to chew, holes, in all the soft plastic ones. But no more, my good friend!

AND THE WINNER IS.... Tinkerbell? whodathunk?

Wanna Be A Winner?

LinsLu posted this...and I'm such a copycat...love her to death!
Here's the skinny...
The first 5 people to respond to this post will receive something made by me! What I make will be my choice, but it will be made just for you.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be a GT ORIGINAL and it will be made just for you.
3. It'll be done this year (might be December 31st, but you WILL get something) and I will post all of my original creations as they are completed.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I'm the jack of all trades, not necessarily good at them, but I do try.
5.I reserve the right to do something extremely strange :)
The catch? The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog.

I know how creative and talented all my peops are, so don't be afraid to get a little crazy with your own gifties to others... I have a feeling you won't regret it!
press forward, folks!
