Life is Wonderful

Cuzzin Alec invited me along for a photo shoot on Saturday monring. It was amazing! I wish I could do that more often. We went to Benjamin/LakeShore...farm land near Spanish Fork.
Be sure to check out Alec's amazing adventures at
This is looking outside my front door (obviously not on Sat morning)
We visited the Benjamin Cemetary. It was small and very peaceful.
It. Was. Just. Nice.
I am pretty impressed with these silhouettes.
My favorite of the day! I so wish that Green Door had not been covered, but this is a pretty cool shot!
I like old fences.
Boring pic, but I love the focusing...I was practicing my manual focus.
This is the tree in my front yard. It's one of my favorite photo subjects, because it's always there. It's pretty nearly all year long. I loved the snow stuck on the berries.
Cuz. He's awesome! I'm so glad he invited me along!

Ch Ch

It's been a fun week--

B has seriously been so much fun! She's finally toning down a bit with the whining, well, now it's just the toddlerish whining, spoiled whining, hold me whining, come with me whining, etc... but believe me, it's better. She's really just jab jabbing away. She can't really say much still, but she sure is vocal. She loves playing with her babies and she talks to them and gives them loves and puts them to bed, it's seriously just too cute! She loves to read books and she pretends she's reading them. She loves to sing and dance.

Now here's the exciting part. B really doesn't actually "say" anything, yet. She says momma but it doesn't really mean momma, it means literally EVERYTHING else. She understands EVERYTHING you say. She can go get her shoes and jacket when you ask, she'll even put her shoes away in the shoe basket. She's just a smarty stinker... so yesterday, after her nap, I got her up and asked her if she was ready to go to church. "CH CH" she said. So I said it again, "are you ready for church" "CH CH" again! I think that's really literally and truly her first word. CHURCH! Wow, who'd-a-thunk? She's adorable. I love her mucho!

CJ has had a troublesome, fun, long, exhausting week... She's been getting into mischeif at school and even nearly got her first strike at Piano for being disrespectful. It's been a rough few weeks with her and I'm seriously at a loss. But by the end of the week, she decided she was ready to grow up, afterall, she is nearly 7, and things started looking up. She was able to go out with a friend, a boy, with his family to a movie. He could choose one friend, and he chose CJ. She's a good friend! So she was pretty stoked about that. Then her cousin Ethan T was here visiting and she just loves him! She was so excited to just hang out with him non-stop. And she did. We put her to bed on Sat with her being a stinker and she was in her room throwing a fit. So I went to spy on her, cause that's what this mom does, can you say "helicopter", anywho, she was whining, fake-whining, on her bed and then she'd start jumping around counting in a whisper, and then she'd all the sudden start whining again. It was so hilarious! I was dying laughing! How do you scold and discipline when they're just so stinkin' funny? Oh, I seriously just don't know! She's been great these last few days. Eating all her meals, practicing piano without too much resistance, and her back-talking is subsiding... we'll get there... only time will tell... She sure is a cutie!

JD is doing good as always. She's started teaching herself how to play Fur Elise on the piano. She's done a great job! Now only if she could actually get her festival pieces memorized like that, eh? She loves piano and is doing so well! I'm so proud of her. She's doing awesome in school and is such a helper around the house and with B. JD does have her moments of pre-teen-ness, but that's to be expected. I can't believe she'll be 10 in June. That just seems impossible to me. Whew! How time flies! I'm just so happy she's mine! I love her!
Paco and I are still just chillin'. We love to watch 24, The Office, American Idol and seriously cannot wait until Chuck starts again. We just record all of that and watch it all in the middle of the night. Fantabulous times! We need to go on a date. It's been awhile!

Another doosey

Our little Flo really is having a not-so-great 2009. Poor thing!
Another phone call from the school, this time THE EYE!
She'd been poked. She said she was fine and school was only had an hour left so she just stayed. She came home, seeming to be fine, JD said she'd been fine walking home. Then after some errands, she began freaking out and screaming uncontrollably. It was so spiratic, though. I told her to chill out and even considered getting her a brown paper bag to breathe into. Oh, the drama she can produce. I shortly realized it was authentic, after all, eye injuries are pretty serious business. So I had to listen to her scream at Walmart and so did everyone else. Pleasant. I called the Dr just to see what they thought and they suggested we come in so they could see the severity. However, mom was busy with city stuff and she didn't really want to go to the Dr so I put it off to see how she would do at someone else's house, without me near to coddle her. She bummed on the couch with her hand glued to the eye the whole night. I was going to take her in whether she liked it or not. CJ has very sensitive eyes already and I knew this wasn't going to be fun, but she did pretty well, once she saw the cool glowy stuff the doc had. She was just wishing we had a black light at home so she could "freak out" Little B. And she didn't want me to wash off the orange dye because she wanted to show all her friends at school. So I thought maybe she's go for the whole "eyepatch" thing, but nay, those darn sensitive eyes, she'd rather hold her hand there all day than have her eyelashes touch a bandaid. Psh. So, we have yet to see how her adventures have gone today. She also has piano today, which will be tricky with one eye and one hand. Should be FUN!
This is my awesome illustration of what the scratch looks like. Luckily it isn't in her line of vision, but it's stinkin' huge! I'd say she's purty lucky!
Let's hope this is the last of injuries for our little #2.
But garsh, ain't she cute???

So far so good...

UNTIL TODAY!

CJ's school called and said she'd had an accident in PE. No biggie, but I just happened to be driving by the school so I stopped to check in, which is a big no-no if the child isn't demanding to come home, FYI... So, I go in and her lip is hugemongous and her gums are hugemongous and her teeth are bloody and wiggly... what's a mom to do? "oh just go back to class and look like a total loon and bleed all over everybody, you'll be ok!" um no, not this mom. I took her home and was shamed by the secretary... not the first time... wah... So, here's to CJ for making her mom feel guilty. Hey, atleast I can say I was a good mom for one day. I even went back 1.5 hours later to pick up JD so she wouldn't have to walk home alone, in the snow & cold, and she decided to WALK home anyway, slipped and fell on some ice, and ripped a hole in her pants. Luckily she was uninjured, whew. Oh, yeah, but first, as I was getting ready to go out and about today, I went out to start the van and came back in and slammed the door to the garage right into Little B...
Oh, Man! WHAT A DAY!!!
