jan 17 - hangin' with Gma B

holidays are great.
especially when i get to hang out with me mum.
we went to sizzler for lunch, delish.
then we walked around the mall.
they had this awesome train that went the entire lower level of the mall.
Gma B took Ceej and Little B.

JD and I ate cotton candy while we waited

then Little B threw a ginormous fit, as she often does when we go ANYWHERE
and i was afraid that someone was going to call security on me for my ruthless child
so we left.
then Mac joined us for a minute to say hi to B.  B loves Mac.

then B cried all the way home.  I put her on my bed and she cried some more.
she stayed in my bed from 4ish until almost 9.  then she didn't go to bed until 2am.
but that 5 hours of "brynnless bliss"?  ooh i like that.... divine.
then i saw this:
and all i could think of was that while my cranky baby is sleeping and finally giving me peace from a day that i thought would never end and had brought me to tears, heavenly father knows me and certainly knows how to cheer me up.
i am amazed.

jan 10 - joelissa

blogger used to let me post a few pics per line.
it doesn't anymore so these posts are unneccessarily long.
joelissa are moving to florida.
i had to make a visit and try to help her out.

man, i'm going to miss seeing these kids every so often.

i've seriously grown to love melissa as a sister i never had.
we have a kinship that i can't explain.
i love her to death.
i'll miss her!

i know that life will rock for them.
they'll do amazing and i'm somewhat jealous of this awesome experience they're having.

jan 8 - Ceej and basketball

she's loving it! and she' putting her all into it, which is something were hesitant about.

jan 4 - plugged in

this is how we do things at our house

jan 2 2011

i do not like cleaning up their messes, which i do anyway, but i don't like cleaning up their wet, crafty messes.
but today i must have been in a good mood.
it was fun to see them just go at it.
B painted "dad" nice and hot pink with a dress.
and a dog.
Ceej and JD did an entire family

I really think they had a good time.

New Year's Day part 2

We also had Paco's sibs over for a few games.  This would be a fun tradition to keep going.  We'll see!
We played Scrabble and Carcassonne.  The kids ran wild, watched movies and danced.
I think everyone had fun.
Jeremy learning the game.  We've played this lots of times and have finally convinced Jer to join us.

Paco being strategic... or trying anyway...

Sara & Eldon tag-teamed us in Scrabble.  It was fun.

Great way to start the new year!

New Year's Day part 1

For New Year's Day in the past... we've been bored so I've taken the kiddos to Chuck E Cheese.  Wouldn't say it's a tradition because it hasn't been consecutive, but still it's been fun and the kids love it!  So this year when my CB gal pals wanted to hang out, we arranged a playdate there.  But no one else came.  They must have stayed up WAY TOO LATE!  We still had fun.
B is always still a little nervous with things like this.  It took her a minute to actually put the coin in to make it go.

Her face was this somber the whole time on this ride.  I think she enjoyed it but you wouldn't have guessed it by looking at the photos.

She also was brave enough to go on the jungle gym.

This place is Chloe's second heaven.  She would come every day if I let her.  It's mostly a treat for her when we're able to sneak it in.

She loves getting tickets tickets tickets.

and more tickets.

JD doesn't like her picture being taken.  I told her she better smile and present herself or we're going to have a memory book full of ugly photos... because I'm taking her picture no matter what. (even tho she's cute either way)

JD had fun playing all the games.  This pic was supposed to be her playing basketball but this blogger photo upload thing is not my friend.  oh well.

I love her face in this pic.  It's genuine.  Proof she was having fun.  AND that she's beautiful.

This girls got along great and watched each other play all the games.

fun times.
Great time.  Missed our friends, but it was so worth it anyway!

new year's eve

New Year's Eve is truthfully a little boring around here.  We're party poopers.
I always make sure we have bubbly.  I made Jon go get some just for the occassion.
We had Subway for dinner.  Josie's choice.  She loves Subway.  It was good.
Then we hung out and watched the clock until it was even close to being time to get excited.
Like I said before, boring.
The kids watched a movie.  Jon & I watched TV and played on the computers.
Brynn ran around.  She actually stayed awake until the big event.
It was great to have everyone home and safe.  I'm always thankful for nights at home when my family is safe.
I don't care for much of anything else.
Chloe Jane attempting to open the bottle.

I love bubbly pics.

Brynn and the necessities.... bubbly, milk, ipod.  i think she was in heaven.

jon. with a {smile}.  what a happy new year.

My Josie D.  She's getting to old to hang out with mom.  I'm sad about that part of the new year.

It was great.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

a new beginning

i really do like blogging. the whole cliche of reasoning being a way to vent, express, share, divulge, indulge, whatever.  i like it.  i like to share what goes on around here.  i like to pretend that other people actually care.  but i'm keeping it private, cause i don't like creepers, and certain someones.

so here's to 2011... to me being a better blogger, just to keep up on the goings ons in my family!
