7am - get out of bed and head to the Y. i knew i wouldn't make it to the top. i took my ipod and was planning on enjoying some nice beautiful peace on the 2nd switchback while everyone else made their way to the top. but guess what? i kept going, and going, and going, and, well, I MADE IT! best feeling ever. i was so empowered for the rest of the day that i wanted to go back up the next day. it was wonderful.
this was at the second switchback where i figured i was finito.
but they kept encouraging me and we started a walk backward campaign and it worked!
then the Y was actually insight and I honestly could not believe it. i even got a little teary, go figure!
i was still saying, i'm not there yet, i'm not there yet!
then i really did make it. truly, really, absolutely.
JD was a big help to me and i appreciate her so much!
i conquered and WILL conquer again.
